Polyfasade moulds: what they are and how to use them

In recent years, poly facades have become increasingly popular in building construction and renovation. Polyfasade panels are cladding materials that imitate various textures and materials such as stone, brick, wood. One of the key elements in the creation of polyfasades are polyfasade moulds made of ABS plastic.

Polyfasade moulds are special matrices used for casting concrete products. These moulds make it possible to create facade panels imitating various materials and textures. The moulds are made of different materials, but the most common are moulds made of ABS plastic. This is due to their high strength, durability and resistance to aggressive environments.

Advantages of ABS plastic moulds

  1. Strength and durability: ABS plastic is characterised by high impact resistance and resistance to mechanical damage. This makes moulds made of this material reliable and durable.
  2. Easy to use: ABS plastic moulds are lightweight, making them easy to transport and install. In addition, these moulds are easy to clean and store.
  3. High detail accuracy: ABS plastic allows the creation of moulds with a high degree of detail, which is especially important for imitating natural materials.
  4. Cost-effective: ABS plastic moulds are relatively inexpensive compared to metal or silicone moulds, making them accessible to a wide range of consumers.

How do I use polyfasade moulds?

The use of moulds for polyfasades requires compliance with certain technologies and sequence of actions. Let's consider the main stages of the process.

Before starting work, the mould must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and dirt. This will ensure better adhesion of concrete to the surface of the mould and prevent defects on the finished products.

A special concrete mortar is used to create the poly-fasade panels. It should be plastic enough to fill all the recesses of the mould, but not too liquid to avoid spreading. It is recommended to use concrete of M300 grade or higher.

The concrete mortar is poured into the mould in an even layer. To eliminate air bubbles and improve the surface quality of the product, it is recommended to use a vibrating table or vibrating rail. After pouring the concrete, the mould should be left until the mortar has completely hardened.

After the concrete has set, the poly-fasade panels can be painted or decorated as desired. Special paints and varnishes designed for concrete are used for this purpose. They give the products additional protection against moisture and ultraviolet radiation.

When the concrete has completely set, the panel is carefully removed from the mould. Due to the flexibility of ABS plastic, this process is quick and damage-free.

ABS plastic poly facade moulds are a modern and efficient solution for creating beautiful and durable facade panels. They ensure high precision and quality of products and are easy to use and maintain.
