ABS plastic moulds are widely used for the production of various
concrete products such as paving slabs, decorative elements and building
blocks. They are characterised by durability and resistance to damage, but
proper maintenance significantly extends their service life and preserves their
original properties.
1. Сleaning after each use. After each use, the ABS plastic moulds must be
thoroughly cleaned of concrete residues and other contaminants. Use a soft
brush and warm water and soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the
surface of the mould.
2. Proper storage. The moulds should be stored in a dry place protected
from direct sunlight. Avoid temperature and humidity fluctuations, as this may
cause deformation of the plastic.
3. Timely inspection of the condition of the moulds. Regularly
inspect the moulds for cracks, chips and other damage. Small defects can be
repaired with special plastic repair compounds.
4 Use of release agents. When making concrete products, it is
recommended to use release agents to prevent the concrete from sticking to the
mould. This makes the cleaning process much easier and reduces the risk of
damage to the mould.
5. Avoid mechanical damage. Do not use sharp objects or tools to remove
finished products from the mould. This may cause scratches and cracks on the
plastic surface.
6. Observance of temperature conditions. When working with ABS
plastic moulds it is important to observe temperature conditions. Do not
overheat the moulds, as this may lead to deformation and loss of strength.
7. Regular lubrication. To prolong the life of the moulds, it is
recommended to regularly lubricate the surface of the moulds with special
agents. This prevents cracks and makes it easier to remove the finished
products.
8. Avoiding overloading. Do not overload the moulds when pouring
concrete. Excessive weight can cause deformation and damage to the plastic.
Observe the manufacturer's recommendations for maximum load.
9. Use of protective coatings. For additional protection
of the moulds, special protective coatings can be used, which are applied to
the surface of the plastic. They prevent scratches and increase the service
life of the moulds.
10. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Always follow the
manufacturer's instructions for the care and use of ABS moulds. This will help
avoid many problems and extend the life of your equipment.
By following these simple tips, you can significantly extend the life of
your ABS plastic moulds and keep them in top condition for a long time. Proper
maintenance and care of the equipment is the key to successful production of
quality concrete products.
